Order Pulling Department Supervisor

Job Summary

Midwest Fastener Corp. is looking for a responsible department supervisor to oversee all day-to-day operations in our fast-paced Order Pulling department. This position has many complex responsibilities and requires a candidate who is results-driven and focused on quality. Supervisors are responsible for coaching, training, and guiding employees to ensure operations are carried out in a productive manner ensuring continued profitability and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures customer orders are available for pulling
  • Work with various departments in order to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains all order pulling supplies.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues and maintains department equipment as required.
  • Responsible for managing any special projects as directed by management.
  • Maintain communication between subordinates and upper management in order to maintain a productive work environment.
  • Responsible for maintaining all department employee time and attendance as well as completing performance appraisals and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
  • Pick, pull, and pack customer orders when workload requires.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency; and 2+ years related supervisory experience/training; or equivalent combination.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete drug screen and background check.
  • Pass forklift skills test
  • Knowledge of MS 360 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to adapt schedule based on business needs
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of AS400 and company computer systems
  • Experience working in a team environment

Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm
